EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY ROHIT KOTHARI
In the world of mature cinema where people expect matter as well as good story which can keep them on the edge for two hours, movies like Dhula Mil Gaya would hardly succeed. Picking up two-three movies of the past, blending them and deliver to the audience, doesn’t work. This is what Mudassar Aziz’s debut film Dhula Mil Gaya proves to be, a mixture of past films.
Donsai (Fardeen Khan) is one of the most eligible bachelors with killing looks in the town and any girl would fall for him. But the problem is he is completely against long term relationships, love, commitments and marriages. He doesn’t believe in love at all. Completely opposite is Samarpreet (Ishita Sharma) a small town girl from Punjab. She believes love is everything and means life for her. Samarpreet can go to any extent for love.
Then there is Shimmer (Sushmita Sen) a diva and a gorgeous lady from the tinsel town, who believes thoroughly in success, fame and independence. Like Donsai, Shimmer too believes that love is only one of the minor factors of life and hardly affects an individual. And finally there is a suave multi-millionaire Pawan Raj Gandhi (Shahrukh Khan) with immense power, fame, plush-living and super success. Still Pawan thoroughly believes in love and it means everything for him.
The life of the four cross paths and each of them learn something from others life which changes every individuals living completely.
The story is simple, lacks interest and there is nothing new. In the world where people think twice before spending every penny, movies like Dhula Mil Gaya could fail. In spite of roping huge stars like ShahRukh Khan and Sushmita Sen, Mudassar Aziz’s dierctorial debut disappoints highly.
The direction is below par and Mudassar Aziz needs to improve a lot. Screenplay is bleak and fails to prove substantial. Dialogues are immature. Music doesn’t go well with the movie and is boring. The actors also fail to deliver their best due to poor direction.
On the whole the movie turns out to be a complete failure and hugely disappoints.
