Hey guys. New member. Been following NG for quite a long time but joined now. I am from Hyderabad, India.

Alright, big fan of Aamir and kinda waiting for 3 Idiots badly. The advance booking of 3 Idiots is absolutely great in Hyderabad. Almost all the shows on thursday are booked. And the weekend is almost 70-80% booked. The number of shows are 4 times than what Ghajini had. I really think this will kinda create new record in this city.

Can anyone update with the advance booking in other cities? I checked on BMS and saw that the thursday shows were 60-70% booked everywhere. This is great considering the number of shows alotted to this movie. Looks, like the movie has the second best advance after Ghajini. How much do you guys predict it will make on Thursday? I think it will easily make in the range of 4-5 crores as it is getting a pretty wide release on thursday itself.

Welcome to NG! I’m glad to see you gung-ho about 3I. I myslef am looking forward to the film.

But spare a thought for the price-hike. I’m surprised that not many seem to be bothered by it. Rs.180 to Rs.400 is not a healthy range for a film guys! We have to voice our displeasure before things get out of hand.

I heard about the rise in ticket prices. In Hyderabad, there has been no rise whatsoever. Everything is same. I heard that only multiplexes in certain cities have increased the prices. I didnt know that 180 Rs ticket had increased to 400. I read that there was a max of 50% rise. Otherwise, many theatres increased by 35%. Anyways, people paid 500 Rs for 100 Rs Black tickets during Ghajini craze. I dont see why people would have problem to buy hiked tickets. In advance, people might be hesitant but when 25th finally comes, the people waiting in lines will be ready to buy the tickets.

Sadness. In AP, again telangana tension has prevailed leading to 48 hours bandh in Hyderabad and telangana districts. I had booked tickets for both AVatar IMAX 3D and 3 Idiots for two days, now I dnt know what to do!

And that too it is a violent bandh. Simply, I cant watch 3 Idiots this weekend… Also, it will affect 3 Idiots collections.
