Life is all about listening to your heart and chasing your dreams. That’s the essence of 3 IDIOTS, directed by the supremely talented Rajkumar Hirani. Let me come to the point right away. There are films and there are more films. And then there’s 3 IDIOTS.
Come to think of it, 3 IDIOTS carries a huge ‘burden’ on its shoulders: The ‘burden’ of humungous expectations. And it’s not without reasons…
# 3 IDIOTS is Aamir’s next release after the record-breaker GHAJINI.
# 3 IDIOTS is Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s third film together, after MUNNABHAI MBBS and LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI, landmark films.
# Three actors from the path-breaking RANG DE BASANTI team – Aamir, Madhavan and Sharman – team up yet again. Plus, Aamir’s teaming up with Hirani. It couldn’t get bigger!

May be he went to London on 16th. Every top site was invited to send their representative.

Didn’t he give four stars to Kurbaan also? And what about Ghajini?
I don’t trust him anyway.

Nice..the first show in India begins 24th December 5.45pm in Chinchwad Pune. The shows are at par with Ghajini, top centers are seeing good bookings however will it touch Ghanjaa level..needs to be seen.

bloated review for a very bloated cinema.
Some of the stuff Taran Adarsh writes is just silly. How he gives his rating and puts out early verdicts appears very odd to me.

“bloated review for a very bloated cinema.”
MrCool: I’m curious how you know it’s ‘bloated cinema’ without having seen it.

I’m going strictly by all the trailers, literally. When all trailers have continued to maintain same tempo, then I am in a fair game to make that assumption. That of course goes without saying that, there is hope that a movie may be decent, but wont touch the honesty of Hirani’s previous efforts.
There are just too many factors that comes off totally wrong this time. Aamir Khan appears to be a miscast for starters. Then there are other aspects of this I just can’t fathom. This is all I need to say for now.

He gave Ghajini 4.5 stars too. This is a paid review. So much exaggeration and hyperbole. He praises as if he has never watched a movie before? Well he gave Karzzz, Blue and Kurbaan 4 stars too. So how can someone trust him?
This is funny.
“Of course, the pace dips slightly in its second hour, especially during the delivery sequence of Mona [which may appear filmy to a few], but the immediate sequence, when the baby boy is born and also the subsequent sequence between Boman and Aamir bring the film back on track.”

I am amazed by dishonesty of some of the folks here…3Is first promos were really bad so as of MNIK(as per the same people),..The subsequent promos never gave any indication that the film will be good for 3I…But the same folks cant wait for 3I to release (Hoping that the movie will be good) but the they dont even want to give MNIK a Chance…Dishonesty at its best..

BTW..i liked the “”sunshine”" song being aired on TV now alongwith the promo with it…I was planning to skip the movie but this promo has forced me to change my decision…

“”I’m going strictly by all the trailers, literally. When all trailers have continued to maintain same tempo, then I am in a fair game to make that assumption”"
Agree here..The point i wanted to make is , some folks here pose as if they are fans of intelligent cinema and aamir represents that section…hence they try to elevate every Aamir film as if some kind of Monumental masterpiece …They try to make fun of films of other stars especially SRK ,akshay ,salman etc…
When 3I has given no indication that its any kind of a master piece (From the promos ofcourse it looks a regular cheap comic fare..the film pretty well might be a master piece..who knows?) but still they are gung ho about it..What happened to their so called Intelligent cinema?
Why are these guys putting on a mask of intelligencia…They should simply say that “‘We are Aamir fans and we want to watch his movie whatyever it may be”" instead of wearing “”hypocrisy”" in their sleeves…

I have read the Book 5 point someone. That book driven story will grab half of the audience. And aamir do have fans. I have more excitement because of raju hirani’s direction as well. Let’s hope the movie do well.
As far as MNIK is concerned, I am sure it will break even 3I’s record. SRK in a different AVATAR. Which will definitely spell success for the SRKJO camp. All the best to MNIK too.

#I may or may not be masterpiece, but it is obviously going to be much more than just ‘ cheap comedy’. That is evident even from the trailer. You must be desf ot not know hIndi if you cannot mkae out the doffeence in lyrical content of ” all Izz Well’ from any song ofan aksgay comedy.
As for MNIk I am not so sure it wil work, let alone brerak #I’s ecord. Karan is pretty out of his depth outside hos romantic melodram genre. Without the prop of song-and-dance routine his scripts are kind of lame ( eg Kurban). And he just cannot handle terorism. ( He says MNIK is not about terrorsm, but the tagline of the trailer says” My name is Khan and I am nota terrorist’). talk sbout royal confusion.
