IBOs says 50 cr in two weeks ..So it collected 34 cr in the wecond week????
Bollybusiness said 30 cr in two weeks ..So it collected 14 cr in the second week…?? The way these guys are reporting, IBOS will make it 100 cr in its entire run and Bollybusiness will end it 70 cr….LOL…Need to have some mathematics tution from these guys…

As expected shakes pear seem to have ruffled many feathers as far as Bacchan bhakt sites are concrned who are pushing very hard to show case that Paa is indeed a 60 cr grosser….They have already started Shakes pear bashing…If what they are saying is correct why dont they come up with numbers to back their claims???

Raj what amuses me is that the usual suspects, who have always gone bananas over these estimation methods, are the one who are now mum over what Rudresh and Shakespear’s totals say.
My stand remains the same, if done honestly, these are a good indicator, but is heavily dependent on the date type.
Since I am not hypocrite neither the pick and choose what suits type I stand by me total of 16.75 crore (Paa week 1), based on circuitwise reports.

Tango – I think 16.75 is a distant possibility … Taran Adarsh has quoted 16-17 cr week 1 – which is likely to be a producer total … i wud take such producer totals with a pinch of salt. Again BOI has given a circuit break up for 16.14 cr … and i wud say that too is likely to be at the higher end.
The reason is simple – Nahata’s reported centers doesnt give a case for such 17 cr or more here … the mumbai number is as much as TZP … and the Delhi number is quite low. For a plex movie depending on major metroes – the ahmedabad, kolkata, hyderabad, pune numbers are quite in the range of WUS, TZP … the week 1 is surely the same range as TZP, WUS … we are not talking about Wanted here that the small centers can account for some extra crores.
If one looks at FI numbers – its simple logic that Paa has netted 15-16 cr in week one … cant comment on week 2 since i dont have nahata’s numbers on that yet.
Rocket singh may end up doing just a crore or two less than Paa … but since movies like WUS, Paa had small releases, the occanpancy must have been much better – hence the positive commentary from the trade … but rocket singh enjoyed a bigger release, hence the negative trade talk isnt surprising either.
Rudresh compared Paa with Azab – a high print release which did very well not only in the metroes but also in the small centers (the C centers were in fact comparable to wanted for Azab) … i took movies like TZP, WUS, CDI as the comparison base … but 16 cr is pretty much all you get.
As for the usual fan rantings, its bound to be there.

PAA
Based on BOI data as reference for NETT and print count
WUS – 15.65 418
DBH – 17.67 659
CDI – 22.01 420
My range was 16.50-17.00 based on FI data.

ShakeSpear my point is not about who is right or who is wrong. I’m just saying that the usual suspects/hypocrites who have always endorsed these estimation methods are now mum and throwing 20 crore, while hiding behind their mole hills. They also discounted the BOC total, a fav source till recently
Exhibit n about pick and chose what suits.
