If Ram Gopal Varma and his producers were anticipating a solo week for their forthcoming Rann, than Anil Sharma’s Veer with Salman Khan will also stake its claim of the box-office pie. The two films are releasing on January 22 next year. Vishal Bharadwaj’s Ishkiyaan, also scheduled to release on same day, will now open a week earlier

While producer Vijay Galani and presenters Eros Entertainment are believed to have pumped in over Rs 40 crore into the period epic with Khan, Sheetal Talwar and Madhu Mantena are said to have invested less than that for Varma’s film on the media, in which Amitabh Bachchan plays the head off a news channel.

    Doga I cannot see Rann listed on Jan 22 anymore from this week in Film Info. May be Verma has gone ahead

    JA had 40-43 cr Budget,but if this is true will be very good, its hoping against hope the movie doesnt have a humongous budget. 50+ cr should be manageable, anything more is risky. Lets see when movie release comes close we get more info on the Budget.

    Vijay Gilani though has said that they made the movie in a Decent/Manageable Budget.
