No doubt WELCOME was one of the years most awaited films for a multiple number of reasons. Firstly the movie starred current box-office king Akshay Kumar in yet another comic outing opposite his NAMASTEY LONDON (2007) co-star Katrina Kaif. Secondly the movie was directed by Anees Bazmee who earlier directed the box-office blockbuster NO ENTRY. Thirdly the movie had a strong cast with a unique combination of actors coming together with Nana Patekar, Anil
Kapoor, Feroz Khan, Paresh Rawal and Mallika Sherawat. And lastly the movie was produced by Firoz Nadiadwala who is known for his lavish multi-starrers from AWAARA PAAGAL DEEWANA to the DEEWANE HUYE PAAGAL. So does the movie live up to expectations? Quiet frankly, no!
