b231 Exit SRK, enter Ranbir

Ranbir Kapoor is the new favourite at Yash Raj Films. After starring in YRF’s Bachna Ae Haseeno and the forthcoming Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year, Ranbir will now star in a film to be directed by Aditya Chopra. The film will go on the floors early next year. Ranbir was best choice for the forthcoming film as Aditya is ready with his new film’s script and his favourite actor and closest friend Shah Rukh Khan has no available dates for the next two years

Shah Rukh Khan had starred in all the three films directed by Aditya, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Mohabbatein and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

A source said, “Aditya was keen to direct Dhoom 3 however they didn’t finalise a script that Aditya was keen enough to direct. Even Yashji was scheduled to direct a film after Veer-Zaara but that too did not work out. When Aditya realised that Dhoom 3 is not working out as expected and Shah Rukh is already busy with Don 2 and Farah Khan’s film Happy New Year, he wrote this fresh young love story, which will star Ranbir.”

i hope this is true. adi has to prove that he can give hits without srk and srk has to start doing non rom com movies. but i read somewhere that shimit amin’s next has SRK in it..

Though this piece of news seems as rfake as ever, still, notion of RK being heir to SRK, can not be disregarded. And for now I don’t mean heir to SRK’s position, but his brand of cinema.

According to some fellow NGites this above piece of news sounds fake. How does it matter if it’s a real news? There is nothing against SRK of course. Of course as SRK doesn’t have time then Adi have gone to the next obvious choice. In fact to star in a young love story, SRK doesn’t suit any more. And RK is the current best choice. According to me, RK have the charisma to do great romantic roles like SRK (if not that great).
In this new generation of stars RK is the biggest star among all (After SRK, AK, Akki and HR).

I think Yash Chopras next film he directs will star either SRK or Aaamir. Doesn’t surprise me if Adi’s next does star Ranbir! Srk’s next is either with Shimit Amin or Kabir Khan!

    I agree with Kunal.
And I think Ranbeer is best option to do srk type of roles.
