Gorilla

Gorillas are the largest of the living primates. They are ground-dwelling herbivores that inhabit the forests of Africa. Gorillas are divided into two species and (still under debate as of 2008) either four or five subspecies. The DNA of gorillas is 98%–99% identical to that of a human, and they are the next closest living relatives to humans after the two chimpanzee species.......To cut a long story short, I am the kaala bander residing inside YOU!

The battle has begun even as the day for the full-on war is still a little far away.

This Diwali is expected to be the brightest of all with a record opening weekend of all times expected over 16th, 17th and 18th October. The three films in the running are BLUE, ALL THE BEST and MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA and by the look of things, the sum total of collections from all three films would be the highest ever box office haul ever. All three movies are bona fide A grade projects, boast of top actors and are covering a great distance when it comes to the promotion.

However, as of now, BLUE has a clear edge. The film is seeing an unprecedented excitement being built up around it. To add to it, advance booking has already opened at numerous leading multiplexes, even though the film is more than 10 days away.

Normally the advance booking for a regular film opens two days before the release. When there is a big film, there are also instances of advance around 5 days before the release. However, a 10 days open window means that BLUE can expect some good harvest coming its way even before the first show commences. Also, it shows the confidence of multiplexes that are out with details around the timings of a good number of shows before the final permutations and combinations are done for the other two Diwali biggies – ALL THE BEST and MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA.

Now it has to be seen if ALL THE BEST and MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA also follow suit and have plans in place for their advance booking well before 14th October. One hopes it actually happens because otherwise, it could well be a one sided war on the D-Day!

    Buullllllloooooooooooooooo!!!!

Dhamaka hone waala hai bhai log. If this film really lives to its promise of spectacular visuals and adventure, with surprises and twists, it will be a major hit and will open a new genre in Hindi Cinema.

BTW, I am again not really surprised no one is talking about genre this time. Akshay still remains the star who does more different types of films in a year.

I love adventure thrillers and Blue has hit all the right notes so far in terms of promotions.

So you thought BLUE director Anthony D’Souza is a novice!!

One of the most awaited release of this ‘Diwali’, Shree Astavinayak’s BLUE, has opened its advance booking almost two weeks before it actually hits the screens, and the response is not bad! The promos of the underwater action adventure thriller are highly exciting and (apart from the super star cast) have been instrumental in creating a tremendous hype for the Anthony D’Souza directed film.

Even from the promos one can make out that the captain of the ship, director Anthony D’Souza, is no novice to filmmaking but most are referring to him as a debut director, which is in one way right, but in more ways wrong! Right in the sense as it is Anthony’s first Bollywood film but wrong because what Anthony has done could make many seasoned directors go green with envy. Yes, he has directed 56 episodes (believe it or not!) of the highly popular US television show, RIPLEY’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT. He has also directed some music videos abroad. So, Anthony is quite an experienced person when it comes to filmmaking, and having worked in Hollywood, he is very disciplined too.

Well, these are some startling revelations about Anthony and here’s looking forward to an exciting film in the form of his Bollywood debut venture, BLUE.

Thanks for this, good to hear. After being bitterly disappointed by Do Knot Disturb, I have a feeling this is going to be an enjoyable experience on the big screen…
