Wake Up Sid Movie Review

Now let’s come to the acting department. First things first, out of all the new age actors, only Ranbir Kapoor knows the art of acting. He’s so natural and there is no way you can’t relate to the character he portrayed. You can see the dilemma he is going through and he totally sucks you into his world. Well done, Ranbir! I’m really looking forward to the nominations this year.

    I would rate WUS on par with Luck by Chance. The movie is good, but lacks entertainment. Some of the scenes are excellent, but the movie overall is too slow that you get restless. The dialogues are boring most of the times and the pace is very very slow. Aamir’s track in DCH and Hrithik’s in Lakshya had similar stories and were far more entertaining.

    However, the performances are all ace, especially Ranbir Kapoor’s. He fits the role perfectly, and does an excellent job. Konkona Sen does a good job and so does Anupam and Supriya Pathak.

    Overall, if you liked LBC, this is the movie for you. Chances of repeat viewing are less.

    I have always been comparing WUPS with Luck By chance(especially with konkona common in both).

    Lets see how this one does at the BO.

    The problem with LBC was the lead man who cannot act. I find Farhan mostly dull and boring as an actor. Will Ranbir’s performance lift WUS above LBC level?

    LBC was a fine movie. Zoya is a far better director than Farhan is. At last there was a movie which depicted film industry in a fine way and was entertaining too. Maybe it was too subtle for some ppl..

    I saw the movie today and the movie did not work for me. The story is extremely week and you dont just feel for Ranbir. Extremely shallow handling !!

    The movie has got an very good opening. RK will take it to safety himself.
