Q – How does one still imagine/argue for a ‘perpection hit’ for KI when major TV channels like TimesNow insists KI is a failure, when major newspapers like TOI calls it a failure blatantly … so does Indiatimes movies or Business standard?
A – Perception is not what media calls at the time of movie release … but what the story is after the dust settles down. Read the narrative after some months, when the adrenaline pumping is over … then seldom is there any difference between public perception or media perception or XYZ perception.

LOL. I saw this interview on TV. KI was never mentioned as a failure. Akshay was asked about crassiness in that movie to which he accepted it as something which would not get repeated in his future films.
Questions related to BO failure were on CCTC and 8X10.

Its all there gorilla … its a funny interview in many ways … that interviewer is a charmer … in a subtle way he grilled Akshay on KI specifically even though Akshay wanted to evade the topic altogether by talking about CCTC and Tasveer … but what amused me is the insistence from TimesNow about how it felt after KI was blasted by critics and didnt do well at box-ofice … and yes he insists that KI is a failure … subtle reference is made about how Akki was shouting over rooftops that KI is a blockbuster and what not … Akshay is iether dumb not to understand the sarcasm … or he is smart enuf to pretend he did not get it and started talking about dogs and kutte and bitches … never seen a star being being ragged like this in a major TV channel … much more amusing than Akshay’s movies at least.
Komal Nahata tried something similar with Akshay during CCTC … but that Nahata guy is too crass to have such an effect … while akshay was able t defend the CCTC disaster quite well due to Nahata’s inadequacies as a host, here it is a different story.
Maybe TimesNow shud interview some more stars like this.

agree with Ach. Gorilla is wrong – i saw this interview and there were enough hints given by Arnab that KI was also a dud.
i think akshay is on his way down here – he has given too many flops in a row. he will get a hit here and there like salman does once in a while. i think ranbir and shahid are going to take over from here. wake up sid looks good, the 2nd song promo of ajab prem… was very nice.
