Salman Khan’s WANTED will beat Aamir Khan’s GHAJINI??
[08 Aug 2009]
Salman Khan, the macho man of bollywood who plays lead in upcoming flick ‘Wanted-Dead and Alive’, is said to have done such a fabulous job that surpasses even Aamir Khan’s mega hit flick ‘Ghajini’.
The film which is being produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Prabhu Deva (that dancing sensation from south) is due for release on the eve of Eid festival in September. Sources say that Boney Kapoor is so confident about the flick that he has been talking with distributors for giving more favorable response and terms than they had given to perfectionist genius Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’.
The buzz is that Salman Khan, who plays a hit man in the film, will be seen in a negative role. He essays a character in ‘Wanted Dead and Alive’, which is more like a killer than a conventional bollywood hero. Ayesha Takia plays the female lead in the flick.
The insiders reveal that Salman Khan’s six-pack abs look fabulous in the flick and he has performed breathtaking action sequences in the course of essaying his character. A negative streak will be seen in his character for the first time in his bollywood career.
Boney Kapoor is also elated with the fact that the dance numbers by Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia look enchanting in the film. Their on- screen chemistry is electrifying and Prabhu Deva has canned all this in a very convincing manner.
In any case, ‘Wanted Dead and Alive’ is the remake of super hit Tamil flick ‘Pokhiri’, which further makes Boney Kapoor confident of turning the flick into a mega- hit project.
It may be recalled that even Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’ was remake of a Tamil super hit flick of the same name directed by Murugadoss. And perhaps this is one of the reasons; Boney Kapoor wants his flick to generate more business than Aamir’s flick did at the box office.
Salman Khan has given such a fabulous performance in ‘Wanted Dead and Alive’ that Boney Kapoor has already decided to cast him in the sequel of ‘No Entry’. He plans to announce the sequel on the day of release of ‘Wanted Dead and Alive’ in September with Salman Khan-Anil Kapoor playing the lead in it.

If WANTED really is sold for high price then it will be a sureshot flop. At the max it will reach 60Cr Nett in India. And Sallu looks Lallu in all the song promos with those cheap clothes and goggles. I really wish he has a hit at this stage – but this over-enthusiasm of media over a product which people are NOT so crazy about will kill it.

I agree. I had said about the same when it was being said that LAK will break Ghajini (“LAK will not be able to get even within 10 cr of Ghajini”).

Somnath, i knew you never liked sallu, but you took your hatred to another level by deleting the whole wanted thread.
How can one accidently delete the thread, lol.
Now you have to watch Wanted first day first show to make up for this.

Or actually dont watch Wanted at all, Neo@SB tells me that you havent watched LAK yet and its doing well.
So leave Wanted on the side just as LAK.

To be honest Somnath you wont believe that while editing(the fuk up i did) even i for once reached near the delete tab(they are damn close , somehow , not very elegant design on Wordpress’s part).
I guess this was destined.

I agree with Ritz and Jsutfan here…I will be surprised if Wanted reaches 60 cr…The promos and the songs are suckers…I have doubts if it can open big…Salman instead of trying hard to compete with Ghajni should concentrate on a well planned marketing stategy for the movie which i believe is hayward at this moment…
