Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar may land himself in trouble as city police started an inquiry into his alleged obscene act during Lakme Fashion Week.

The complainant, Vinod P Jain has termed Akshay’s unbuttoning act as obscene in his complaint.

“We have received a complain and at the moment we can’t say anything more than that. We are looking into it,” said DCP Niket Kaushik.

“The way Akshay got unbuttoned by his wife was a vulgar act. It was a shame. I felt very hurt. Being a social worker I felt that it’s my duty to get such people punished. If the police will not lodge an FIR, I will approach the court. Akshay has ashamed the whole nation. I was shocked to see. It’s embarrassing to watch something like this with your kids at home,” said Jain.

Vakola police has given two days time to the complainant to look into the evidences produced by him. In these two days police will go through the cds and newpaper cuttings attached in the complain.

On Monday, mid-way between his ramp walk, Akshay Kumar walked towards his wife Twinkle Khanna, who was seated in the front row and allegedly asked her to unbutton his jeans during the fashion show.

Police says if their inquiry finds them (Akshay, Twinkle and organisers) guilty of obscene act, then a case will be registered against Akshay and organisers.

From a non-actor- to a stuntman -to a ‘multi-starrer’ hero- to a dilettante -to “Ashleel” Kumar…Its been quite a journey for him!

Akshays’ stock at BW decreased so much in recent times that he is up to “”Libidi show”" to attract eyeballs…Desparate stuff from The fake KINNNNNNNNNG…

Laws are such, Sandy. Infact there are stiff rules for exposure in public. Though most of the time a written apology is enough.

It gives a creepy feeling to see that video, but I am a guy and can’t see other guy opening his pants, so may be I am biased.

Rest is like always, some moral policing.

I do not really approve of such acts, if I was there, I would have laughed at buffoonery on the stage and let it go.

    But thats about me….

Agree here…But he shouldn’t have sung “chumma chumma de de..” while unbuttoning :(

Kunal, I really don’t see what the big deal is. The guy went up to his wife for God’s sake and she unbuttoned it, so how is it vulgar? :-) And it was just an extension of the brand’s tagline ‘Stay unbuttoned’…don’t think the intension there was to expose. And frankly, women have been under the male gaze for so long, it kinda feel liberating to see a role reversal.
People get all serious when they think of anything sexual…here, it was just good-humoured banter.

I believe Shobha De is going ballistic over this incident saying Akshay should be made to return his Padmashri and what not. LOL…. Gimme a break. This is the same woman who has made a career with soft porn novels and she’s offended!

Maybe she’s upset Akki didn’t ask HER to unbutton his jeans ;-)

Wow …What logic..If tomorrow the tagline of Kamasutra condoms is “”feel safe inside”".does the model have to demonstrate it in public ?????

frankly even here i am not offended

he is not nude or parading himself as nude and frankly hardly any vulgarity was there

he is the mascot of levi’s and walked on ramp for them so obviously had to use their tagline

There’s one more reason why I’d like to be charitable towards Levi’s – I love their stuff.
