IndiaGlitz:

The perfectionist – Aamir Khan has never screamed from the roof tops that he is the star who rules Bollywood. Yet we knew that over the years he has gone one step ahead of his contemporaries and his films have turned out to be most anticipated ones.

Now what has been slowly and silently evolving for a long time has been officially recognised. Aamir has gained the top slot in the new power list of Bollywood that has been brought out by Filmfare.

‘Taare Zammen Par’ proved his ability to excel beyond acting and ‘Ghajini’ became the first Rs 1 billion project was the decisive weapon that Aamir used to prove himself to be a mass hero. This mega hit’s overwhelming success is surely the reason for the top slot coming Aamir’s way!

Shah Rukh Khan despite the not-so-impressive box office fate of ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Billu Barber’ occupies the number two spot in the Filmfare power list.

Film makers Yash and Aditya Chopra follow third. Producer Ronnie Screwwala, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, A.R.Rahman and Hrithik Roshan are also the other occupants of the powerlist. The surprise element here is the lady sitting comfortably in the 10th slot.

None other than the ravishing Kareena Kapoor, the only heroine who has found her way into the list. With or without awards and blockbusters the endorsement queen of B-Town has a certain aura that always surrounds her.

what is not so impressive about 86 cr of rab ne. India glitz what is that.

SRK has been such a consistent force over the last 15 years that needs to be considered everytime such thing is written.

Right now though as a producer,director,actor/star combo Aamir is getting huge consistent successes too, so yeah he deserves it too.

I think RNBDJ seriously suffers from a bad image as it being an average grosser (which i know is not true) is what has been portrayed and i do not know why???? This is not the first article i am reading that says RNBDJ’s gross was not impressive. This imo is a big letdown from Aditya chopra/SRK’s combo apart from a ‘not-so-good-a-film-than-expected’ RNBDJ.

Don’t remember the last time the media and the trade were so far off on a movie’s verdict. I could understand the media calling a semi-hit a flop.. or referring to a hit as being average.. or even calling a superhit “disapointing”.. but RNBDJ is a full-blown blockbuster… In fact it’s more successful a film than any other SrK film in almost a decade.
