So this is not the type of music I usually listen to, but I came across this on youtube a few weeks and am so completley hooked!  I listen to it all the time! 

It’s a qawalli…a form of music I’ve only begun to appreciate since I saw Abida Parveen perform in Leicester last year…it was an incredible experience, the kind of frenzy she whipped the audience into was unbelievable!  Anyways, I’ll write a post about her at some later date.  Today’s choice is sung by one of the most exciting talents to enter Hindi film music in recent years, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.  He is definitley an exampe of quality over quantity.  My faves include:
