Delhi 6 one of the most awaited films of the year is set to release February 20, 2009. Starring the lovely Sonam Kapoor who in my opinion is one of the most under rated actresses in Bollywood today. I can’t wait to see Sonam star opposite Abhishek Bachchan in this romantic film about a boy named Roshan, born in America who finds himself in India due to an ill grandmother.  During his time in India he finds pretty Sonam who steals his heart and that begins their very own pyar ki kahani setting place in the most romantic place in the world, the motherland.

This is Sonams first movie after Saawariya which as we all know did not do as well as expected. The question why didn’t it do so well? The soundtrack was amazing, I know I still listen to it at least once during the week and it’s been over a year and a half. It’s funny how in the Indian film industry we don’t question a lot of things and just leave it to the fact that it is an Indian movie. How does the hero and heroine end up on a mountain singing? Why isn’t she being treated for hypothermia in her very thin white sari as the hero snuggles up to his turtle neck? Yet when a story that is actually meant to be a fairy tale like Saawariya was it gets completely walked over and forgotten about. My two cents on the matter.

Delhi-6 is sure to be Sonams come back movie, how do I know this you ask? I have high hopes for the girl. There is even a dove on the cover. Sure to be an interesting cute twist to the story I’m sure. She is gorgeous and if you looked past the fact that the story of Saawariya was a little drawn out you will see what an amazing actress she actually is. Anil Kapoor ki beti can do no wrong in my eyes! Remember him in Mr. India? Can’t wait for Delhi-6? Listen to the soundtrack here!
