    For me what is most important is that a film should offer quality entertainment. Boxoffice records really ride on the reputation of stars and Aamir has enjoyed tremendous prestige over the years. It happened with Mangal Pandey too, where people lined up because not only was he coming after 4 years but his last two films were DCH and Lagaan. Audiences always consider this underrated factor.

    With Ghajini, I will say no matter how much money it rakes in, one cannot ignore how good or bad a film it is. I said this for both SIK and Rab Ne and I repeat it for this one as well.

    If Ghajini turns out to be average, I think for me Hrithik would be the top star, by virtue of doing the most decent film of the lot.

    I won’t go with the quality of the movie,I would rather take in to account the acceptance of the audience..If Ghajini is a “liked” film even though a poor film in terms of quality and becomes a big grosser,Aamir is the top star of 2008 IMO.I mean a “liked”(trends well) Ghajini doing more than 100cr is certainly ahead of a “liked” JA doing 60 odd cr.
