What a ridiculous post. Aamir is of course going a bit over the top with his recent spate of SRK-baiting–but his is more of a delayed reaction to SRK’s own potshots at him, made over last few years; unfortunately I am too busy to search out and post the links.But I do remember,Aamir was continuously at the nether end of SRK’s jibes on Koffee with Karan, both seasons.Then there were the Filmfare awards, where SRK had his fun at Aamir’s expense; jokes all agreed, but the joke was on Aamir who kept quiet all along.
And does anybody remember SRK’s famous statement made before the release of Don? ‘There are only two Khans–Genghis Khan and Sharukh Khan.’Joke or megalomania?
I looked up some of the links provided— and some are clearly exaggerated interpretations of fairly innocuos statements.For example Aamir did NOT say that SRK has connections with powerful people.
Still, I wish Aamir would stick to the sort of sensible talk he had with Arnab Goswami on Times Now couple of days back[ when he talked of reaching a fine level of cinematic excellence; there was no SRK rivalry talk]. That is the Aamir we love. Must tell him so on his blog.People are already telling him so.

I have just read the #11 link interview[with HT].That’s a good interview, quite sensible really. And this is what Aamir said about SRK:
On Shah Rukh Khan:
Rather than compare the two mega stars, we decided to quiz Aamir on what qualities he and SRK have in common (incidentally, they share a common year of birth, both have a Hindu wife, one son and one daughter, and more). Aamir thinks hard on this one with a naughty smile and says, “If you insist, let me look at the positive things common to both of us. I think we are both very driven. And also that we are both family men. I really respect the way Shah Rukh lives for his family — his wife, kids, sister. I do the same.”
However, he doesn’t let the chance slip by to make another point. “But I don’t know why Shah Rukh keeps taking pot shots at me in media. Since he does, I reply in the same vein,” he mischievously adds. So is there truth to the rumours that he developed the famous eight-pack abs to beat Shah Rukh’s six packs? “No way. I started working out much before Shah Rukh did to get his six or eight or whatever.”
And yes, it is true that Aamir had planned his body building way back. In May-June 2005, at the time of Fanaa release, Aamir spoke with Kajol in a promotional ru-ba-ru where he mentioned that his next task was to build his body.The interview would obviously have been recorded in the first half of 2006. OSO released in late 2007.

To Bash–besides those three instances you have mentioned, there have been other occasions when SRK has made sly digs at Aamir and others. Can’t remember now. Few people bothered to take notice of these things.

List it lalsub. list it. SRK has been pompous/arrogant/self-praising. But he has not ridiculed anyone so directly. He has certainly not named flops of fellow actors. Aamir openly shows his jealously.

Yes, SRK has been more or less silent this year, inspite of provocation from Aamir, Salman and the like.
But he has also been quite voluble in his own way,during the past few years,taking potshots at at colleagues like Aamir and others; but intelligently,quietly.
My final take on this topic–Aamir is sincere but rather an idiot. He isn’t smart like SRK. I don’t think he is jealous in a big way, since after all he has his own specific successes. But I do think that part of the problem is caused by the media which loves to highlight innocuous words spoken in jest, maybe naughtiness.The Hindi tabloid news channels are particularly bad in this respect as are tabloid papers like Mumbai Mirror.

Common, all 11 of them cannot be in jest or casual remarks which media exaggerated. Aamir is out there to prove something.
I guess he wanted to provoke SRK. After SRK preferred to keep his cool (in his most recent interview SRK said good things about Ghajini said he wants it to do well blah, blah) … Aamir seems to have settled to the usual good will approach.
I suspect there in one grand SRK spoof in Ghajini and it is again no coincidence.

Aamir is using controversy and SRK’s name to sell Ghajini. So what else is new? I recall Salman’s numerous interviews on the famous fight - this was pre-release of Yuvraaj and Hello. So where is Salman now? Can these people not focus on promoting their own films without other props?
