Amrita Arora is a Akshay Kumar fan. To show how much she enjoys the actor’s work, Amu dressed up like the Khiladi and gyrated to his popular tracks. Her performance was part of Chandni Chowk To Bollywood A Journey Of A Superstar, that will air on Star Gold on October 26.
Getting it right
The episode will feature Amrita dancing to Akshay’s songs from his early days to his current hits. Sources reveal that the actress was also involved with the creative team in deciding her look. “She was excited about performing to his songs and was eager to figure out what clothes she would be wearing. She wanted to come as close as possible to Akshay’s fashion statement.”
Amu says, “I had loads of fun. I think Akshay is one of the coolest actors and performing to his songs was fun.” About his films, she says, “I’ve enjoyed all his movies. But Bhaagam Bhag would have to be my favourite. I would have loved to be part of Main Khiladi Tu Anari.”
Comic hero
Akki is popular for his action hero image, but Arora says that she enjoys his comic timing. “He has a great sense of humour and I love him in his comic roles.” However she adds that the one thing she has learned from Akshay is his sense of discipline. “I admire the fact that he doesn’t use body doubles for his stunts.”
