Glad you made a review of "Mandi". Mandi in my books definitely qualifies to be some sort of path breaking cinema,one of the most valuable, most treasured works from Bengal, one of the most notable works belonging to the parallel cinema genre. A thought provoking human tale depicting the plight of the strumpets, without sensationalizing, more so about the human struggle,trying to survive against all odds with a calculated doze of realism and humor.
