Day 48 - 10 Ka Dum

It is probably easy to achieve success but to maintain it for a long time is very challenging. It exhausts you…drains you out of all finer feelings. In the present era, money and competition are big. Some people suffer more from insecurities and personal fears. Since I don’t care much about money and ratings I have far less fear and insecurities… I have many hobbies and I prefer to indulge in them rather than mud slinging. I have never manipulated the media or relationships. I am not afraid of loneliness. I can handle it more efficiently than crowds. Stardom gives me lot of fringe benefits but it also brings a lot of pressures. My self-belief helps me handle pressures and sail through it despite it all.

Day 47 - 10 Ka Dum

Competition is the driving force that keeps one on one’s toes all the time. Competition is tough. In every field there is tough competition. In the profession of acting there has been tough but healthy competition right from the dawn of cinema…

Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar managed to maintain their friendship in spite of fierce competition. Rajendra Kumar and Raj kumar also maintained it with a certain dignity. For a little while there was some bitterness that entered when Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan were competitors but they managed to resolve it.

Today, young aspiring actors are very friendly when they start their careers but once they reach the pinnacle of success, insecurities begin to come in the way and take toll…
