on the other front highlander was one of the real decent flick to come out that was based entirely on sword fights will hope drona is better ,

subcontinent itself is full of its rich mythological culture and we need some decent mythological fantasy

Sad to see KayKay made into such a caricature … not sure if the actor in him can get past such ridiculous get-up, purple robes, twisted swords and what not.

This looks just another wannabe movie .. even the storyline is hardly innovative … the elder son destined to take up the sword as a family tradition to protect a deep secret… too much of Azreal storyline (those interested can check the ‘Sword of Azreal’ mini-series which was a prelude to the Knightfall saga) … just put in some magic in the background (as Harry Potter has made magic highly saleable) … and someguy was saying azreal was a least favorite character ( an top of it there was a wolverine analogy!!!)… i have no doubt Drona will turn out to be similar!

The film looks very hotch-potch. Abhishek looks pathetic, very uncharismatic, worse , for a super-hero or a plain hero he looks far too physically gone-to-seed and energetic. More like a contented middle-aged real-estate broker. I like Priyanak, and athe songs a little better. Though I pray for it, because abhishek and goldie are nice guys, honestly, this could turn out as bad as Love Story 2050. Kidnap has at least some minimum qulaity guarantee.

The best still here IMO is the third one…with the hair of Abhishek coming over his head- he looks pretty cool. This definitely looks more appealing then Kidnap at this point, though the Kidnap song, Mit Jaaye is really addictive…

Out of this batch. The best two stills are the one with Abhishek charging on white horse with sword in hand. And the one where he is walking around the city at night in one of the stills. Good stills.

Guess who is looking forward to this – not me.

BTW my friends who visited the unforgettable tour here in O2 say the show was really good (particluarly Shilpa) and the turnout was decent if not full capacity. Maybe Baby B should alter his focus from giving series of duds on big screen to giving stage perfromances as a sidey, along with Shilpa Shetty and Madhuri Dixit.
