Gorillas are the largest of the living primates. They are ground-dwelling herbivores that inhabit the forests of Africa. Gorillas are divided into two species and (still under debate as of 2008) either four or five subspecies. The DNA of gorillas is 98%–99% identical to that of a human, and they are the next closest living relatives to humans after the two chimpanzee species.......To cut a long story short, I am the kaala bander residing inside YOU!

no mention of Chetan Bhagat in writers ? may be it is just having some references to book and is not exact copy.

it’ll have weak music, i dont why but it seems like a desperate attempt to re-do rdb.

Looking fwd to see what rh can do after munna bhai, imo lrm wasn’t good at all. Mbbs rocks though

Chetan Bhagat’s book was just the inspiration and the starting point. It’s quite different from the book. It will be more funny, satirical. No, it’s not anything like RDB. The music will be adquate like in LRB, which did not need to sell on music. The script is always the hero in a Raju Hirani film. That’s why he is the best thing to have happened to Bollywood.

It’s not anything like RDB but johnnybrutal has a point because there is the college ambience plus Madhavan, Aamir and Sharman in the star cast. But if the book is anything to go by, all three are very distinct characters -that itself makes it unique.
Agree on music. I’ve never been much impressed by Shantanu Moitra -barring Hazaron Khwahishein Aisi. His music for Parineeta, Lage Raho Munnabhai and Laga Chunri…has been satisfactory but personally, I find it too ’sweet’ and placid. So yes, not too high expectations from the music. In fact, for a subject like Idiots, Moitra - with his penchant for old world music— is not the right choice IMO. The film is about rebel instinct and that in some measure is opposed to the usual conventionality Moitra represents in his music. Of course, I’d love to be proven wrong.

PS: I hands down take Anu Malik’s music (with the title song, Dekh Le and Chan Chan) over Lage Raho’s placid tunes (Pal Pal being the best song - but again, that was a rip off)
