UTV’s Heart Wrenching Drama MUMBAI MERI JAAN is all Set to Hit the Screen on August 22nd

UTV Motion Pictures latest venture ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ is all set to release on 22nd August. The film is based on real life disruptive event of the Mumbai serial train blasts. The film is directed by much acclaimed director of ‘Dombivli Fast’ Nishikant Kamat, who received an overwhelming response to his last film.
This hard hitting drama stars R. Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Irrfan Khan, Kay Kay Menon and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles.
Mumbai Meri Jaan explores the impact of this devastating incident on the lives of the people of Mumbai. From a feisty reporter to a patriotic corporate man; from a retiring policeman to a rookie cop; from an unemployed youth to a coffeevendor: ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ follows the lives of people from all strata of Mumbai’s bustling society as they tackle the aftereffects of a fatal incident that brings out the best and sometimes worst in them. It’s a story of ordinary people set in one extraordinary circumstance that one event on the evening of July 11, 2006 which forms the crux of Mumbai Meri Jaan.
Other credits includes, cinematography Sanjay Jadhav, Story, dialogue and lyrics Yogesh Vinayak Joshi, edited by Amit Pawar and music by Sameer Phaterpekar.
The film is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
One of my most awaited movies for the rest of 2008 — although Black Friday is a high bar. But a cast to make me salivate for sure… yet another “edgier” little film from UTV.
