Kismat Konnection - Music Review
June 23rd, 2008

Aai Paapi hahahahaha…omg.

I was awaiting this soundtrack…after Pritam’s composition in Jab We Met and Race I had my heart set on this album…even before the music promos I had this gut feeling that this album will be rocking. Well lets get right to it:

Aai Paapi - Strange title for a song nah…dont let the title get to you…this song is going to be year’s biggest track…the youngsters will go crazy over this one…chart-buster for sure…Neeraj Shridhar excells with his cool and hip voice…the lyrics by Shabbir are catchy…anyone can sing along with Neeraj…Pritam amazes you here. And the picturization of this song is good too…at the end of the yr this song will still be playing in my car…100% sure.

Bakudha Tumhi Ho - Aatif is back…this man has been delivering hit after hit…as we all know his teaming with Pritam is really good…in this track he shines again…the lyrics are great…its the lyrics that make this song strong…The flutes and guitar sounds are easy on the ear…this song does not surpass “pehli nazar” but it’s still a wonderful track that we can listen to over and over again…Alka comes into the song at the mid-point…great to see singers like Alka and Udit back in the game.

Move Your Body - Hard Kaur should be named Lame Kaur…I seriously hate this lady…her voice is damn annoying…many out there are probably down with her…but not me man…Shaan doesn’t sound like Shaan here…Akriti does a fine job…I just can’t feel this song at all…the chorus is very weak…and lyrics are alrite…there are some clever lyrics and fancy arrangements in here but at the end of the day its the same old hip hop bollywood track.

Is this love - You guys remember the song Tum Se Hi from Jab We Met…what am I sayyin…obviously no one can forget that amazing song…well Mohit and Pritam are back to create Magic all over again…this is the standout track of this album…I wonder if Pritam copied this track cause he’s done a nice job here…nice background music with Mohit and Shreya singing with their beautiful voices….this one is a gem…and the lyrics by Sayeed is just off the hook…at times you do get a feeling that this track is similar to Tum Se Hi…I guess it’s just Mohit’s voice though.

Soniye Ve - Is this suppose to be the Nagada Nagada of Kismat Konnection hahahahaha…damn it seems like JWM really influenced Aziz Mirza…oh well when you hear this song it seems as if you have heard it many many times before…this sounds like more of a Himesh composition…it’s not a bad track though…it’s catchy and it has you on your feet…no dull moments…Sonu does a good job and gets great support from my favourite Sunidhi Chauhan. It seems like Pritam works very hard on the chorus…cause for most tracks his chorus really stands out and are very catchy.

I DONT LISTEN TO THE REMIXES…EH.

I’m satisfied with this album…I was really awaiting it and I have enjoyed most of the numbers…Pritam delivers chart busters and he has done it again with this album…Aai Paapi, Is This Love and Bakudha Tumhi Ho are the three gems that gives you a reason to purchase this album. Youngsters will love the title track, while the girls will go crazy for Bakudha Tumhi ho and for the people that are on the verge of falling in love, Is this Love is a perfect track for you all.
