IBNLIVE:Mimoh on tenterhooks days before reliving Jimmy
Mumbai: It is not easy being a legendary star’s heir and Mimoh, son of Mithunda is feeling the heat, just days before the release of his debut film Jimmy. Understandably, Mimoh is a bit of a nervous wreck.
“I have this tiny space in my bathroom, I just want to crawl in there on Thursday night and not come out until Monday morning,” Mimoh says.
Meanwhile, if you’re a little intrigued about the origin of Mimoh’s name, he offers a quick explanation.
“Actually my name is Mohaakshay. There cannot be two many Akshays so I went with Mimoh – it is Michael Jackson and Mohammed Ali together,” he quips.
Mimoh’s dance moves are all thanks to the strict discipline imposed on him by his father.
“Mithun would tie my hands and then ask me to dance, then he would tie my legs and then he would ask me to dance,” Mimoh recounts.
Mimoh also got his acting genes from mom Yogita Bali but, incidentally, he’s never watched any of her films.
“I cannot see my mom romancing with other men. With dad it is okay because dad had been working, but when I came onto the scene, mom had stopped working. I cannot see my mom with other men,” he explains.
That does sound a bit chauvinistic. But would the father and son do a film together?
“He will destroy me! No one will notice me in the scene – I will be there somewhere in the background,” says Mimoh, adding, “Not now, maybe after five years.”
