Tashan Multiplex Revenue Problem

The multiplex revenue problem returned with Tashan again. The makers demanded a higher share but told multiplexes they would return money if Tashan did not do well.

 

The problem with the deal was that some multiplex chains had signed contracts when releasing films like Om Shanti Om and Welcome that if they gave a higher share to any film in the next 12 months they would have to adjust that share for those films as well. So when it came to Tashan, the multiplexes which had these contracts did not take the film at the terms wanted by the producers.
