  1. nice to see you back, Shetty bhai!! did you see Tashan?

  2. I wish they had a photo of bhajji slapping him.
    What a frigging cry baby

  3. First sledge … then get slapped … then cry like a baby in front of a girl … thats our lion-hearted tough Indian cricketers!

    But Bhajji is really cool!

  4. Well said ach. Even tho what bhajji did was wrong, I am quite happy that sree got slapped. Let ipl ban both of them.

  5. And they should change their name to loins of punjab - with preity as their owner !

  6. LOL

  7. Shety: Where have you been?!

  8. I for one failed to see any humor in the whole fiasco. If Sree cried it means he valued his relationship with Bhajji… and Bhajji is actually a tool.

Slapping is in my opinion a criminal offence. And it was cool of Sree not to get involved in a fist fight, which I bet many would have resort to.

Bhajji infact by his actions confirmed Hayden’s remarks that he is actually “an obnoxious, little weed”

Achillies: “But Bhajji is really cool!”

I am baffled by this statement.

  9. Kunal if it was bhajji slapping zaheer that would have been different. But sreeshanth. Come on. Harbhajan has always been a dickhead,he cant be changed(he was expelled from NCA). Sreeshanth is the other same type of guy. Both are like two class 2 students on loose. Let them do what they are good at.

  10. Kanwal getting physical is a crime.

And then even if Sreesanth cursed him, is it too uncommon??? Youtube has several videos where players of the same team curse each other, thats in the heat of the match, but slapping once the match is over, is obnoxious.

I can’t even remember how many times I cursed and am cursed at during the match but then once the match is over, its over.

Remember Imran Khan, may be one of the best captain ever, he used to curse at his players that you and I can’t even imagine.

Bhajji is a disgrace no doubts. Sree Santh can be immature, but bhajji being a senior is a tool

  11. Agree Kunal. There is no excuse for throwing slaps though the news is suggesting the issue maybe deeper than this. In any case probably best to ban Bhajji from IPL and strip him of his payday. Maybe he might get and deserve more punishment. Hope the national side is not affected by team wars!

  12. Ok harbhajan should be banned if he has done a crime. But i think its not a crime in india to just get physical until one splits one’s head or breaks few ribs. one slap here one push there all just ok by subcontinent desi standard. Remember shoaib akthar slamming mohammed asif with a bat.But its my take, there may be some for whom a slap may be the end of the world kind of humiliation.
My take on the situation is that harbhajan and sreesanth should be rested for few months and may be have some anger management.

  13. Kunal, what’s the point you are making? You believe that although this is crass, its part of the sport? Ya in ice hockey it is, in nfl it is at times but I believe this is the first in cricket. And I am one that believes you reap what you sow. So I am pretty happy sreesanth got what he deserved and I am sure bhajji will get what he deserves too. You can at least put bhajji’s slap to momentary anger, what about the cry baby who acts as if he is such a man when sledging. That piece of shit gave an interview to a mallu channel blaming bhajji and seniors. Can u believe that sicko

  14. Sreesanth will have a helluva time when he gets back to the national team. Team members don’t like cry babies.

Bhajji is crazy, zany, off his rocks, but that is exactly the kind of person who unsettles the opposition. So my view is, dole out some punishment but not too harsh.

Aussies must be laughing their heads off at this spectacle.

  15. these are mentally tough young cricketers who will match the match the mental toughness of australians bullshit

  16. There is certainly a mental and potential talent switch between Aussies and Indians. It will be interesting to see where Aussies are in couple of years when they fully transition out of Warne/McGrath/Hayden/Gilchrist days. Can see India getting stronger especially when likes of Rohit Sharma, Chawla, Utthapa etc really come on.

  17. talent wise true but u indeed need to have mental toughness to survive for long jay , look at yuvraj and how he crumbled when he was in great form with all personal distraction, now someone slapping and someone crying in front of world media what message is this sending , these youngsters are full of talent but they indeed have to work on their mental toughness

  18. First of all guys I don’t think Sree is a sissy just because he cried. He creid more because of the emotional jolt, the player, the friend who had been with him all the time, and more than that, when Bhajji was in trouble, every one was with him till the very end, he behaved that stupid. It hurted him and may be Sree is an emotional person. He would have been sissy if he wud have reacted in the same manner and got hold of Bhajji with his collar.

And by crime I mean, by Indian Penal Court, IPC, its a criminal offence to get physical with someone. Now that someone can be your student, brother, sister, wife, husband, or son, daughter or father. So Bhajji can even be booked under IPC some section, though it won’t happen and if it does, the punishment won’t be much or even waived off.

Beld about reaping what you sow, I believe Bhajji was the initially reponsible for all the crap talk. What if Hayden would have hit him?? or Symmo??? Bhajji wud have died on the field. Mental disintegration, or sledging, or cursing are all part of our lives, our sports. But getting physical is taking it way too far. Moreover when you don’t have the talent or resume of Zidane, you can not hit someone and get away with it.

Bhajji and Sree both are mediocre talents, and undoubtedly even Sree has to learn some basics, but then Bhajji had been stupid to the core. I won’t say ban him from IPL for ever or for entire season, but a good punishment is necessary for that arse-headed-hole. Soccer has many situations like this, when players fight with each other on the pitch and hard punishments are metted to them.

All in all, either Bhajji stop cursing or sledging by himself, or learn to take the blows. Reacting the way he did, deserves a hard slap on Bhajji’s face. ONE TIGHT SLAP

  19. what Bhajji did even if out of provocation or frustration of losing 3 matches in a row or whatever was wrong.now he should be ready to face the consequences and pay the price for his reckless, childish act.

  20. “I for one failed to see any humor in the whole fiasco”

    Kunal,I was pointing to this:

“India pacer S Sreesanth sheds tears of joy after the Punjab team finished with a 66-run victory.”
