Anil is trying too hard in all these promos. I think Akshay is hitting the bhaiyya “note” a bit better than Kapoor is…Saif seems too “Anglicized” for this scene (doesn’t jive well with his moustache etc.)…I think Akshay and the weird-looking Kareena come off best with this character promo.
agree here Q,
Infact i am surprised why he was not thought to keep the Omkara look and feel. But maybe he will add a little variety and attract the urbane youth when the other male actors are at their “UP” Best.
what u mean ANil is trying to hard…the man is damn halarious…he might have an over the top character here like he did in Taal…but he rocked n stole it in Taal…he’ll do the same here…trying to hard is Amitabh in Aag…that’s trying to hard for ya…not an inch close to the real Gabbar.
I mean that (and this might well be a problem with the script/dialog writer above all) instead of him just being funny, he’s trying to be a character who evokes laughter — the effort shows. The accent is overdone; a more natural/low key accent would have worked better
everyone puts effort into their work…so for the effort to show its good hahahahaha…I dont know if its overdone or underdone all I know is that bhaiyajji is gonna majour ass.
I found Anil quite good in his diction and effortless in his delivery. Ofcourse his acting like that of Aamir and Hrithik, always looks rehearsed and hence loses that spark of spontaneity that you see in SRK, Abhi or Akshay.
I think Anil along with Akshay, play the typical UP/Allahabadi kinda role, will be the scene stealer.
I am actually surprised at Akshay’s diction. His dialog specially the last part(Badal dein tumharre chehre ka position) needs that extra punch to be effective and Akshay has pulled it off with amazing ease.
Kareena looks wierd on first see but she does well to show he character. Saif’s role as Jimmy will be funny.
From promos it is obvious that the film has good dose of humour before things get serious.
Nice! Quite like Akshay’s promo, easily the best of the four. Kareena’s character seems odd, which is nice to know given that I thought that YRF would plastic her up ala Ash in D2.
