Tashan and Singh Is Kinng are awaited in Punjab like no films before. Both films have titles with a local touch so exhibitors are offering terms like nothing seen before. Going by the craze both films will emerge huge grossers in the circuit even if content is not upto the mark.

 

Tashan is getting offered record MG’s from single screens which films in the past have come nowhere near getting. Aanam cinema Amritsar has got the deal for 21 lakhs, while Ajaib cinema Bhatinda have a deal for 10.51 lakhs and Majestic cinema in Moga has struck a deal foe 3.51 lakhs.

Jammu, Chandigarh, Sonepat and Aarti Cinema Ludhiana are in talks and have offered huge MG’s. It is expected the MG from just single screens in the circuit could be near 2 crore.

 

Singh is Kinng is being offered the highest price ever in the circuit of 2.50 crore but the demand from the makers is more nearer the 4 crore mark. Also there is no doubt that closer to release the records set for MG’s by Tashan will be beaten by Singh Is Kinng.

 

With the sort of numbers being quoted it seems both Tashan and Singh Is King are almost certain to do 7 crore+ nett business in East Punjab.

    If these numbers from BOI is to be believed, it is astounding.

    who will not then sign the actor for 20Cr+?

    and how often do you see a back to back release of a star being touted as breaking each other’s BO record?

    I guess Singh is Kinng will be another deciding moment for Akshay…

    4 crores seems too much . 2.50 is ok . if one goes by distributor share even the biggest of film gets a share of 3.5-4 crores in this circuit . Gadar holds the record at 5.5 crore Distributor share here so 4 crore would mean nearly no profit .
