Dravid got out to a brilliant ball, but sehwag, laxman and ganguly seemed all at sea here. Dhoni threw it away with a bad shot.

all in all a disgraceful performance– the indians weren’t as cautious as they should have been (sehwag, dhoni), and others (ganguly, laxman) were at sea. Well Dale Steyn has been the world’s best fast bowler for the last year, and he showed why he is such a fast bowling find, but really the batting was sub-standard — I mean so many inside edges?! Give me a break! And to think we won the toss!

Anyways, best case scenario is if India bowl them out for a very cheap score and only concede a 75 or so run lead (mercifully we have three seamers here, but no Ishant Sharma who would have been useful with the ball swinging so; let’s hope RP Singh has returned to form on a helpful surface)…

Yup am going to sleep…20 overs is the least amount of time any completed innings has ever taken in the sub-continent, according to the commentators…

Sehwag again proved how ordinary he is on a difficult wicket, which is what separates the men from the boys.

He suffered more from the syndrome of thinking he is on 300+. I saw the wickets fall, some terrible batting. Laxman’s leave was fatal, Ganguly/Kumble just flung their bats in the air, Dhoni not playing to the situation. Dravid and Jaffer got good balls so cannot blame them.

    Jay,
This has been a trend and thats why I dont really go ga ga when he flogs an attack on a docile pitch. Anyway a pathetic display by India and the best they can hope for is playing for a draw with some dour batting in the second innings.

Qalandar: How cheaply could the South Africans be dismissed?! Anyway they already have 223/4 since you went to bed! It would take Indra (rain!) to save this one!

Get SA dismissed for 350. Lead of 275. India pile on 500. SA get bowled out. I tell you, this is easy. Luring SA into a fall sense of security.

BTW I think a draw is out of the question. There will be a result, at the moment it is 90% SA win and 9% India win. Draw 1% (rain is still possible I guess). I give the edge to SA LOL

Satyam…guess they needed more than the rain to save them… :) Lets just admit that SA was the better team in this match!
