Big B goes one generation ahead

Amitabh Bachchan, who has played many roles in his nearly 40-year career, has been given the daunting task of acting son Abhishek’s grandfather in Rakeysh Mehra’s semi-autobiographical film Dilli 6. Shooting for this special cameo written for Big B by Mehra will be done in May.

After Dilli 6, Mehra has plans of casting Big B in his next film Paanch Kaurav. “It will be my third film with Bachchan. I’ve also done three films with Abhishek,” said Mehra, explaining, “I was to do his launch film Samjhauta Express and then we were to do Bhairavi. We had gone so deep into discussions that we both feel we’ve already worked in those two films together!”
