Gul Panag
It’s been five years since Gul Panag made her debut with the warmly-appreciated Dhoop. Despite the film sinking at the box office, Panag showed merit right from the start.
That she has progressively turned into a strong actress is a fact hard to doubt. The actress did very strongly in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Dor as well as Navdeep Singh’s Manorama Six Feet Under.
Where is she now? Shooting Apoorva Agnihotri’s Hello, based on Chetan Bhagat’s One Night @ The Call Centre.

Yana Gupta
Like Gul, the last time we saw the always-stunning Yana was also in Manorama Six Feet Under.
Unlike Gul, however, Yana only had a blink-and-a-miss appearance in the film, making us much hungrier for more. We haven’t seen the actress in ads recently, and we’d love to know what she’s upto.
For now, she’s even making routine safety announcements fun on board Kingfisher Airlines.

Mumait Khan
Dekh le. Nope, that isn’t unnecessary instruction but the name of the startlingly hot Khan’s introduction to Bollywood with Munnabhai MBBS. She went on to burn up our eyeballs in songs in Hulchul and Aitraaz, but we seem to have lost this lady to Telugu cinema — currently going ga-ga over her.

Shamita Shetty
The perfect-10 Shilpa might be the one grabbing the headlines, but the younger one has been getting progressively hotter, giving us something to drool at even in the disastrous Cash.
There’s a self-assured sexiness about Shamita that we can’t get enough of, and it’s sad how Bollywood seems to be giving her the short end of the stick. Shamita’s next release is the Tamil Leelai.

Nigar Khan
Say what you may about this one, but between getting deported back to Europe and working in an Italian film (Vita Smeralda in 1996), but Nigar’s given us a lot to talk about — not to mention look at.
From the most brazen wardrobe malfunction ever to topless beachside photos a la Hollywood starlets, Nigar’s been prolific in her exposure.
Where is she now? Drop us a line if you have a clue.

Riya Sen
She’s never been much of an actress, but Riya’s legs — and willingness to show them off — have their merits. She’s a sexy young thing (as a certain MMS reminds us, always) and, in a way, the stuff of male fantasies — just the right size to be stowed into a cupboard at a minute’s notice. She’s been around in Hindi films, but the last we saw of her was as one of the hot walk-on parts (okay, among the hottest) in the Heyy Babyy title song.
Currently, her IMDb profile suggests she could go places, as it lists her in Krrish 2, as the villain’s girlfriend. The villain is rumoured, by the way, to be none other than Shah Rukh Khan.

Koena Mitra
She was just getting noticed. The spicy bombshell startled in Road and Musafir, got a solo heroine gig in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, won over new fans with Apna Sapna Money Money and yeah, turned up the heat for that Heyy Babyy song.
However, right now she doesn’t seem to be snapping up anything interesting. Or, well, anything at all.

Celina Jaitley
Did you know Celina was born in Afghanistan, in 1981? Or that her mother is a child psychologist? Or that her nickname is Chinto?
Nope, ’cause pretty much all that matter is that smoking hot body, and her penchant for hotpants. Yum. Thankfully, we’ll get more Celina on screen soon enough, with Money Hai To Honey Hai and Golmaal Returns hitting theatres this year.

Dipannita Sharma
Now this one’s really vanished.
Dipannita made her big-screen debut with Milind Soman in the smartly made 16 December with a role that got her a Most Promising Newcomer nomination at the Screen Awards in 2003.
Since then, she’s appeared in films like My Brother Nikhil and Asambhav, but after appearing in 2005’s Koi Aap Sa, the pretty actress seems to have completely missing. Sigh.

Deepal Shaw
Ah, Baby Doll.
Deepal Shaw might be making movies with Sushmita Sen and Naomi Campbell (the film is titled Karma Confessions & Holi), but her identity is inextricably linked to a certain Kabhi aar kabhi paar remix featuring her in a schoolgirl outfit — and what an iconic schoolgirl she turned out to be. She’s likely to always be known by her debut album.
She did well in Kalyug, and now there are unconfirmed reports that she’ll be working on Tumse opposite Irrfan Khan. All we can say is that it’ll be great to see the hot Shaw back in action.

gul panag is the only REAL actress here. she’s terribly underrated and underused. she gave a great performance in ‘dhoop’. it hard 2 believe that was her first film. she was also brilliant in ‘dor’ and received critical acclaim 4 ‘manorama: six feet under”. she should be in more films.
i miss antara mali & mahima chaudhary. two underrated actresses that vanished from the bollywood scene!
