    Som, I’ll disagree on that as of now. But in any case rahman does not mean that every song of an album is equally good! Marhaba is an explosive track. Now to be fair there might be something interesting about the orchestration of jashn as the song progresses but as it stands I don’t find it special at this point. Of course I have been led to believe by some reliable sources that this is a super soundtrack overall.

    I am of course one of the greatest fans of Rahman here, not like some who become fans only when it’s a Hrithik film or a SRK film. LOL!

    As I said the other day the best soundtrack of ‘08 will either be JA or Gajini. There is no other competitor. Rahman’s always in a different league.

    very good song and this looks like it is going to be another Rahman special with this album, interest on the movie is going to pick up for sure.

    This movie is like HR, how he is not signing a new movie, the same way this movie does not want to release. I hope they set the release date properly and timely.

    In the same token would like HR to sign one masala and one different movie each year.

    i hope this is not directed at me.anyways i am a big fan of Rahman.even this year Guru was my Fav. soundtrack.i just adore this guy, a true genius.

    Rockstar: don’t think the D6 soundtrack will release this year but if it did yes it would be another one for Rahman. In fact it would make it quite a stunning year for him. Either way the choice is always between one Rahman or the other.

    Rockstar: RDB was one soundtrack that really took its time growing on me and even now it’s not a favorite. I admire it more than I like it. I actually prefer Swades and MP to this.

    satyam - i would watch out for vishal-sekhar and tashan. i am very impressed with their ability. havent heard JA yet - but its going to be fun. ghajini wont even be a contender IMO - it will just be a decent album at best

    Belvedere: Tashan should be great fun for sure much like OSO but with rahman it’s a question of pure quality. I disagree on Gajini though. I expect a blockbuster masala soundtrack here. Perhaps his first true one of the kind in Hindi.

    well this song is growing on me with each listening … but i was hooked to the murhaba song in one shot.

    as for being a Rahman fan (in answer to some wise guy’s wise allusion) … i was a great fan of his earlier works … but lost interest … i like his recent works only in parts … i loved the track ‘tere bina’ from guru … just rest of the track was average … wasnt much impressed by RDB songs either … though a couple of them was quite good.

    imo the early phase of rahman’s career was by far his best … then he became repetitive … then reclusive in bollywood … but still next year seems to be big for him …. but will listen to the OSTs before passing a judgement.
