London: Hundreds of fans braved the November chill in London to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars outside the Empire Theatre for the premiere of Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om.

And model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal who plays a negative role in the film was the first to show up on the red carpet.

“I tried to bring my own style to it, not become cliched or mimic somebody. I got a lot of help from Farah (Khan), my director and that really helped me a lot. It was very clear what she wanted so that made my life easier,” said Rampal.

Meanwhile, Bollywood debutante Deepika Padukone showed up next wearing a glamorous yet traditional look.

“It’s been a wonderful experience, I don’t think I could have asked for a better launch,” said Deepika.

And finally, King Khan marched in waving to his admirers and even acting like a mad fan himself.

“I truly believe I’m the star that I am because of the people in London, all the Asians, my Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Burmese friends, so I’m so happy to be here,” said Shah Rukh.

Back home in India, Om Shanti Om has opened to above average reviews and full houses.
