It is by now well known that T-Series’ BHOOL BHULAIYAA is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster, MANICHITRTHAZHU. The Malayalam film producer had sold the Hindi and North Indian language rights to T-Series.

The film’s rights were also sold for Tamil and Kannada. Both the versions went on to become runaway hits and therefore, the Tamil version (titled CHANDRAMUKHI) was also dubbed into Telugu. Needless to add that just like the Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada versions, the Telugu dubbed version also proved to be a huge hit.

Given the hype and curiosity for the movie, it seems like MANICHITRATHAZU’s next version, BHOOL BHULAIYAA, directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Amisha Patel and Rajpal Yadav, may well be its fifth hit, this time in Hindi.
