Saawariya Music – Short review

These are my thoughts after listening to much awaited Saawariya’s OST.

Here we go….

Saawariya – Short and sweet song, sung by a new singer Shail Hada. I thought on high notes, it was bit nasal. Still enjoyable.

Jab Se Tere Naina – Good song… Amazing singing by Shaan. Liked his energy and range. Clearly a winner !!

Masha-Allah – Did not work for me. Very flat singing by Kunal. What a waste of Shreya’s voice, which is used in the background.

Thode Badmash – Slow song. Has Bole Priya feel. This is a mediocre song, at the best.

Yoon Shabnami – This is a big break for Parthiv Govil. Decent song. Song ends on high tempo.

Dara Bina Nahin Chain – Richa Sharma starts of the song well. Pathiv & Shail are hardly noticable. Ok song.

Sawar Gayi – Shreya at her best !! After couple of hearings, i liked this song. It takes time to grow on you.

Jaan-e-Jaan – I am getting tired of hearing Thunder in the background in almost every song. Suits Shreya’s singing more than Kunal. Would have sounded better if KK had sung this instead of Kunal.

Pari – At last, a decent song by Kunal. Still, his nasal singing at high pitch irritated me.

Chhabeela – Definitely one of the better songs. Alka’s singing lifts the song from mediocrity. Liked this one !!

Saawariya Reprise – Like this better than the first one.

Overall – I would rate this OST 6.5/10. I had high expectations from this OST, and it does not meet my expectations.

    coolp, I feel Saanwariya is a kind of album which can grow on you.The above review looks to be given after one hear. Let me know if it grew on you now.

    I will check out the music of saanwariya today because i do not think SLB film’s music can have anything less than 8.0/10

    Nitesh : I listened to it about 6 times, before i wrote down my thoughts. Agree that couple of songs will grow on you.

    that does not sound good from the review..however i would like ho hear the songs first before i give any comment.
