Theft at Sanjay Dutt’s ancestral house

Abid, Bollywood Trade News Network

Thieves broke into the ancestral home of Sanjay Dutt in Mandoli village of Yamunanagar, early on Saturday morning. His uncle Som Dutt and his wife were not home, as they had left for Bombay about two weeks back, in connection with the TADA court’s verdict on the actor.

As per sources, the thieves decamped with cash, jewellery and other articles valued between Rs 6 – 7 lakhs. The Dutts own farm land in the village. Deewan Suraj Dutt, a cousin of late Sunil Dutt, said Som Dutt has been informed about the theft.

For those who don’t know, Sanjay Dutt’s father, late Sunil Dutt, along with his mother Kulwanti Devi, sister Rani and brother Som Dutt, has settled in Mandoli village of Yamunanagar in Haryana, after partition.

    Thanks jeegs253.

Well, I used to respect Mr. Kalam till last month and wanted him to have a second term.

But reading his views on Dutt ( I mean he pardoned Parliament bommbimg assused Afzal, much to Mr. Thackrey’s irritation) and says Dutt should be punished because Congress did not support him and Dutt’s family is all about Congress.

He for me ( from today) is a typical power hungry mallu.

Personally I think that these celebreties, politicians etc have always thought themselves to be above the law. This along with Vikas Yadav and Manu Sharma’s sentence will somehow deter future brats to misbehave.

Personally I like Sanjay ever since Naam but I am trying to be objective here.

Tango – on the case of Afzal its congress who has to be blamed. the petition from Afzal has not been sent to Kalam by the centre and thus he could do nothing .

Congress played some great cards during presidential elections like making Mayawati free , making strong hindu supporters Anti Kalam by playing Afzal card.

on Dutt i dont think its anything wrong in saying he should have got jail . we as fan of sanju thinks he should not have got such harsh decisions but under the sections sanju was booked had any sentence btw 5-10 years .

also Tada court in gen. has been too harsh in the bomb blast case.
Kalam is one president i respect, he made the president house in reach of general public .

I, personally would not like Sanjay Dutt going to Jail or spending time in there but just because he is a celebrity or has money he should not be able to get away.

If it was a normal(you or me) person we would not have even thought about it for a second, Salman alredy got away and lot of others so feel bad for Dutt but law has to take its course at least once in a while.

Sanjubaba has already gotten a big break because he was tried under Arms Act and not TADA no? Many people with offenses no more grave than his were tried under TADA and have received much stiffer sentences — not to mention that many did NOT get or were not able to post bail, enabling them to maintain their careers outside. I feel terrible for Sanju (who I am convinced is clueless rather than one with criminal/anti-national intent), but let’s face facts here.

Salman Khan has been a borderline psychopath for years, although he seems to have been on good behavior of late: the poaching incident (bad enough to shoot an endangered species, but to do it in an area where the animal is held sacred by the local Bishnoi is sone pe suhaaga), the drunken killing of pavement dwellers, the credible reports of physical abuse of three different women– I mean this guy is out of control!

Sad to say that Pratibha Patil is reminding me of the days of Giani Zail Singh, when the only qualification for being president was who was the biggest chamcha of the Gandhi family. The difference in integrity between a Nehru and an Indira etc. is there for all to see: Nehru’s Presidents weren’t necessarily his chamchas, whereas Zail Singh is the man who (infamously) said that he would even sweep the floor if Madam wanted him to! Kalyug hai Kalyug. And now we have a mediocrity (a corrupt mediocrity too) sitting in the Rashtrapati Bhavan. I agree that Nehru liked to get his own way (what powerful politican doesn’t?), but I don’t think it can be denied that as a general matter his standards were much much higher than the low ones of those who have occupied the PM’s chair after him for the most part. And that includes his daughter too.

I thought Kalam was overrated, but noone can deny the affection that Indians generally had for him, and he was definitely a “people’s president”… a “uniter” not a “divider” to use the cliche…

    S. Radhakrishnan was a great scholar, his book on Indian philosophy is still required reading in many if not most foundational courses on the subject…I remember reading Shankar Dayal Sharma was also a noted scholar, but I am not familiar with his work…

I think Kalams pluses were his personal integrity and decency, and that he was seen as “above the fray”. I think his minuses were that he seemed to be susceptible to media taalis and perhaps political pressure, and gave the impression that he had no core constitutional principles, but would do what won him praise from the gallery. On balance definitely one of our better presidents, but I said “overrated” because many people today see him as #1 or thereabouts as president, and I wouldn’t rank him that highly…
