Off-topic: does anyone else find Amitabh’s look strange? Jet black hair and snow white beard. It’s so artificial.

Who is that in the pic right above Devgan?

Henry: It looks pretty freaky to me too– I mean it’s not even jet black sometimes it seems vaguely brownish…

On a totally random note, am I the only one who feels Ali Zafar apes SRK?

A video featuring him “playing” several people, including Rajesh Khanna, SRK, and Keanu “Matrix” Reeves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CxPENRM1bY

This is the singer at his most “Kishore-esque”, though sadly that isn’t really a good thing:

Henry: Bachchan even otherwise just looks extremely tired here. He should really cut down on his film assignments. But then I’ve been saying this for some years!

On another note it’s interesting to see Devgan and Dutt even among the most select crowd (for the pheras). This reveals the extent of the relations between these actors and the family. The Dutt connection is more well known. Devgan’s less so. But again he’s one of the most unassuming Bollywood personalities around and not much gets noticed about him. I also find him to be one of the very genuine figures in the industry even if I’m not as big of a fan of his as many people are.

But to know that Sachin was there really made my day. Doesn’t get much better than Sachin, Bachchan, Rahman (this was mentioned in another piece) at the same venue for me! Easily my three foremost cultural idols in contemporary India.

On a final note I realised only looking at the pictures that Goldie Behl had married Sonali Bendre. Never knew this.

That shirt RGV is wearing…yikes. I guess that’s all he can afford after flops like James, Shiva and Nishabd.

Totally agree! I remember Ramu commenting sometime back that he doesn’t share any personal relationship with Amitabh. He never visits his place nor gets invited to any functions, Holi bash, gatherings at Amitabh’s place, so on. I guess Amitabh read that interview and invited him to this marriage! :-)
