According to the leading Hindi News Chanel Aaj Tak , the ‘roka ceremony’ ( not to be confused with ring ceremony) took place today at 3 pm ( on the occasion of ‘Makar Sankranti’) at Aishwarya’s house .It is a prelude to their marriage .

This more or less clears the speculation about their marriage .

All the best to them .

Though real life and screen stories are apart,I think they will make a fine couple. They obviously share a great chemistry.Best of luck to the couple.Abhishek is a level headed dude and am sure will make this work.

I never had doubts about this for months now. This completes the formality. The Bachchans were already India’s first family, this increases the star wattage even more!

I know…..this news is all over the place. Amitabh Bachchan has indeed confirmed! And the electronic media is continuously flashing a scene from my favourite Guru song, Tere Bina, with Ash in a gorgeous blue sari. (And I love the actions she does with her hands)

This is so wonderful! I’ve become a big Aishwarya Rai fan after Umrao Jaan and Guru and she certainly deserves the best. The Salman episode nearly ruined her career but now the Bachchan association has ensured that she will not only remain ‘protected’ in the industry, she will also get the respect that comes along with being a Bachchan bahu!

Of course, the best thing here is that Guru’s commercial prospects will be greatly altered from this point. Now it won’t just pick up, it will catch on like fire. Everyone would want to see the movie now.
This is not to suggest that the movie is not good enough by its own. It’s awesome and I see it a super-duper hit now.

PS: The electronic media is going ga ga over Guru, already declaring it a huge success!

Wow, atlast. Very happy for Ash!!! Also, this seems to be the perfect time to announce this. Actually they make a good couple way better than Ash with Salman or Vivek though Abhi-Karishma looked good too.

So, the ‘rumors’ that Adi has requested or mentioned in contract to not announce their relationship or get engaged or married before D2’s release. He certainly didn’t wanna gamble with Yashraj’s biggest project. I always thought it as a rumor but looking at it, its quite a possibility that D2 would have suffered if Abhi-Ash were engaged before or around D2’s release. And, its no surprise if Adi had talked to Abhishek about it.

Also, I feel that wedding will take place within a month or two not a long wait. Also, all future Ash movies are with Abhishek(Karan’s next, Sunil Shetty’s and Sarkar 2) except pending Jodhaa Akbar and new Happy Birthday with John(she might drop this one).

I think the movie offers will stop coming for Ash from today, just today!!!

Khalnayak: They should have announced their marriage before UJ. The film might have been a hit!

It is impossible to believe that a marriage or engagement clause was part of D2’s contract. I must say I hear some of the most outlandish stuff on this forum sometimes, especially when it comes to anything to do with Abhishek!

I’m still calling them ‘rumors’. Also, I think most of them have no idea about Adi’s contracts. Also, its not a big deal in Hollywood or somewhere to mention in contract to not get married before they complete their movie or so and spoil the character’s image to be projected. If Ash was married before D2’s release, the image of Ash in D2 would have ’suffered’ especially with Hrithik as the hero. Anyways, its not even important.

Satyam: I think the rumours started only when UJ was about to come. I remember when UJ was about to come, there were rumours that Abhishek and Ash will marry in Feburary and now ofcourse with Guru, they officially said it. It was a perfect time to say it as it will give enormous kinda of Hype to Guru and it may become a hit, of course there is nothing wrong with it!
