I liked BAABUL for all its worth....yes its flawed however Bachchan, Rani, John and even Salman make the movie work.... The cinema i saw it(4pm sold out) had the audience weeping!!!And I remember a while back we had a convo about "aunties" not liking movies...well the "aunty" verdict at the end of this one was "yeh toh phir seh dekhengei"!Public hai bhai... Somehow, as a reviewer, I find him quite fair. He didn't say great things about Bluffmaster nor did he praise Abhisehk's performance in Dhoom 2. Similarly, he's given Baabul a bad review here. This man knows what he's talking and is far more reliable as a critic than the likes of Komal Nahata, Masand and Taran Adarsh. There’s no doubt that Subhash K Jha is very reverential towards the Bachchans and there is enormous suspicion that he is partial to them in his reviews.

Somehow, as a reviewer, I find him quite fair. He didn’t say great things about Bluffmaster nor did he praise Abhisehk’s performance in Dhoom 2.
Similarly, he’s given Baabul a bad review here. This man knows what he’s talking and is far more reliable as a critic than the likes of Komal Nahata, Masand and Taran Adarsh.
