The blockbuster of the year LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI has completed 100 days of successful running worldwide. Touted as one of the biggest hits of the year, the accolades haven’t stopped pouring in since its release on 1st Sept 2006. Assuming cult proportions, LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI produced by Vinod Chopra Films and directed by Raj Kumar Hirani, reinforced the forces of the otherwise dying phenomenon of Gandhism – Gandhigiri through its two lovable characters Munnabhai and Circuit played by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi respectively.

The completion of 100 days also marks the beginning of the countdown to Vinod Chopra Film’s next offering EKLAVYA –THE ROYAL GUARD, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and slated for release on 16th February 2007.

EKLAVYA – THE ROYAL GUARD, a contemporary dramatic thriller is about Eklavya, loyal guardian of a royal dynasty whose duty is to protect the erstwhile royal family in Devigarh, Rajasthan. What follows is a story of deceit, revenge, drama and action. Set in present day India the film has a special resonance for today’s world, beleaguered by the hate and violence born from fanatic belief.

EKLAVYA promises to give its audiences a visual treat whilst showcasing never before seen locations on celluloid. The film boasts a stellar line up of stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Vidya Balan, Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, Jimmy Sheirgill, Raima Sen and Sharmila Tagore.
